Sony has just released a new ad, titled “Foam City”, in which “Miami becomes a soapy free-for-all when 120 million gallons of bubbles are unleashed in the streets. The world’s largest foam machine was custom-built for the shoot, and pumped out over 500,000 gallons of foam per minute. The commercial is for Sony’s cameras, and locals got Alpha DSLRs, Cyber-shots, and Handycams to shoot the experience.
Surprisingly, this free public beta includes some interesting and useful ideas, though overall it’s still too buggy for sustained use.When you launch SpaceTime, the opening screen suggests a calm summer sky, with a few wispy clouds floating past. Type a URL into the address field, and an image of the site you identified pops up in a window. As you open more windows, they arrange themselves in a sort of 3D parade that marches from right to left on your screen as you click from one image to the next.

something you don’t see everyday: Sneakers with headlights. Designed by Feijun Chen & Bin Zhao, the concept Pioneer shoes come with built-in kinetic-recharging headlights, so you don’t have to fear getting lost in the dark during your next midnight jogging session.
They’ve got a battery inside which charges on each step, using some mysterious tech that doesn’t look piezoelectric. Apparently this can power the LEDs in the front for a full 12 hours.
